1. Tổng quan lý thuyết câu bị động lớp 8

Câu bị động (passive voice) được dùng khi người nói muốn nhấn mạnh vào đối tượng nhận hành động hơn là người thực hiện hành động. Trong câu bị động, chủ thể của câu chịu tác động của hành động chứ không thực hiện nó.

Cấu trúc chung của câu bị động là:

Chủ động: S + V + O
Bị động: S + be + past participle (V3) + by + O (chủ thể thực hiện hành động)

Quy tắc chung chuyển câu chủ động sang bị động:

Đối tượng bị tác động (tân ngữ) của câu chủ động trở thành chủ ngữ của câu bị động.
Động từ chính chuyển sang dạng quá khứ phân từ (V3/ed).
Động từ “to be” được chia phù hợp với thì của câu.
Người thực hiện hành động (nếu có) sẽ đứng sau "by".

1.1. Câu bị động theo thì

Tùy theo từng thì trong câu chủ động, động từ to be sẽ thay đổi tương ứng, còn động từ chính luôn được chia ở dạng quá khứ phân từ (V3/ed).

Hiện tại đơn: am/is/are + V3 (The book is read by many students.)
Hiện tại tiếp diễn: am/is/are being + V3 (The car is being washed now.)
Hiện tại hoàn thành: has/have been + V3 (The homework has been done by the students)
Quá khứ đơn: was/were + V3 (The letter was sent yesterday.)
Quá khứ tiếp diễn: was/were being + V3 (The house was being painted last week.)
Tương lai đơn: will be + V3 (A new hospital will be built next year.)

1.2. Câu bị động với động từ tường thuật

Các động từ tường thuật như say, think, believe, report, know, expect,...có thể được dùng trong câu bị động. Có hai cách chuyển đổi câu bị động với động từ tường thuật:

Câu chủ động: S + động từ tường thuật + that + Clause (S+V+O)

Câu bị động:

Cấu trúc 1: S + be + V3/ed + that + Clause
Cấu trúc 2: S + be + V3/ed + to + infinitive → Dùng khi mệnh đề sau động từ tường thuật có thể được diễn đạt bằng dạng động từ nguyên mẫu.

Ví dụ:

They expect that the train will arrive on time.

→ It is expected that the train will arrive on time.

→ The train is expected to arrive on time.

People believe that the company has made a huge profit.

→ It is believed that the company has made a huge profit.

→ The company is believed to have made a huge profit.

1.3. Câu bị động với to get/ to make/ to have

Cấu trúc	Chủ động	Bị động	Ví dụ:
to get	S + get + someone + to V + sth	S + get + sth + V3/ Ved + (by + someone).	I got him to fix my computer → I got my computer fixed. He got his friend to carry his luggage. → He got his luggage carried by his friend.
to make	S + make + someone + V(bare) + sth	Something + be made + to V + (by someone).	The boss made the employees work overtime. → The employees were made to work overtime by the boss. The coach made the players run five laps. → The players were made to run five laps by the coach.
to have	S + have + someone + V(bare) + sth	S + have + something + V3/ Ved + (by someone).	I had the carpenter build a new table. → I had a new table built by the carpenter. She had the cleaner wash the windows. → She had the windows washed by the cleaner.
