Trước khi bước vào phần bài tập đại từ, chúng ta hãy cùng xem lại những kiến thức chính và quan trọng nhất về đại từ trong tiếng Anh sau đây:

1.1. Định nghĩa đại từ là gì?

Đại từ (Pronoun) là từ loại dùng để xưng hô hoặc thay thế cho danh từ, nhằm tránh lặp lại từ đó trong văn cảnh cụ thể hoặc giúp chỉ ra đến người, vật, hay sự vật một cách rõ ràng hơn. 

Định nghĩa đại từ là gì?

1.2. Phân loại đại từ

• Đại từ nhân xưng (Personal pronouns)

• Đại từ nhân xưng chủ ngữ (subject pronouns): I, they, he, she, it, we, you

Ví dụ:

• She is reading a book. (Cô ấy đang đọc một cuốn sách.)
• We are playing football. (Chúng tôi đang chơi bóng đá.)

• Đại từ nhân xưng tân ngữ (Object pronouns) : me, them, him, her, it, us, you

Ví dụ:

• John loves her. (John yêu cô ấy.)
• Can you pass me the salt, please? (Bạn có thể đưa muối cho tôi không?)

• Đại từ sở hữu (Possessive pronouns): Mine, yours, his, hers, ours, yours, theirs

Ví dụ: 

• This is my house. That one is yours. (Đây là nhà của tôi. Cái đó là của bạn.)
• Your eyes are black and mine are grey. (Mắt của bạn màu đen và mắt của tôi màu xám.)

• Đại từ chỉ định (Demonstrative pronouns): This, that, these, those

Ví dụ:

• This is my cat. (Đây là con mèo của tôi.)
• Those are my shoes. (Những đôi giày đó là của tôi.)

• Đại từ nghi vấn (Interrogative pronouns): Who, who, what, which, whose

Ví dụ: 

• What are you doing? (Bạn đang làm gì vậy?)
• Who is she? (Cô ấy là ai?)

• Đại từ quan hệ (Relative pronouns): Who, whom, which, that, whose

Ví dụ:

• The girl who is standing over there is my sister. (Cô gái người mà đứng giám sát là chị gái tôi.)
• The book which is on the table is interesting. (Quyển sách cái mà nằm trên bàn rất thú vị.)

• Đại từ bất định (Indefinite pronouns)

• Someone, something, somewhere
• Anyone, anybody, anything, anywhere
• Nobody, nothing, nowhere
• Everybody, everything, everywhere…

Ví dụ:

• Somebody is knocking on the door. (Có ai đó đang gõ cửa.)
• There is nothing in the fridge. (Không có một thứ gì trong tủ lạnh.)

• Đại từ phản thân (Reflexive pronouns): Myself, yourself, himself, herself, Itself, yourselves, ourselves, themselves

Ví dụ: 

• I hurt myself while gardening. (Tôi làm tổn thương mình khi làm vườn.)
• Be yourself and don't worry about what others think. (Hãy là chính mình và đừng lo lắng về những gì người khác nghĩ.)
